Paige Deertz, LMSW is a compassionate and creative therapist who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families. She provides individual and group therapy for clients navigating anxiety, depression, emotional regulation difficulties, perfectionism, and behavioral challenges. Paige’s approach is rooted in evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing. She also incorporates play therapy, art-based interventions, and humor to create a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate therapeutic space.
Paige brings authenticity, curiosity, and empathy to every session, helping clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to explore their emotions and create meaningful change. She believes that therapy should be collaborative and client-led, and she tailors her interventions to meet the unique needs, identities, and goals of each individual. Whether supporting children through behavioral difficulties or guiding teens through life transitions, Paige fosters a brave and affirming space that encourages growth and resilience.
Before joining Upper East Side Psychology, Paige gained extensive experience in community mental health and school-based settings. At Pelham Together Counseling and Westchester Jewish Community Services, she provided therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults, offering both individual counseling and group facilitation. She led groups and provided focused therapy in the areas of executive functioning, healthy relationships, grief processing, anxiety management, and parenting support for teens. Paige is also apt at supporting her patients through multidisciplinary collaboration with other providers, schools and community mental health initiatives.
