She is particularly passionate about helping clients navigate periods of change, strengthen their sense of self, and develop healthier relationships with themselves and others.

Ella brings a warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed approach to therapy, grounded in relational and attachment-based perspectives. She creates a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their emotions, relationships, develop tools and skills as well as learn to approach themselves with more curiosity and greater self-compassion. Ella helps clients understand how past experiences and relationships may influence current thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns while recognizing the ways they have learned to adapt and cope with difficult or overwhelming experiences.

Balancing insight-oriented therapy with evidence backed skill building, Ella helps clients deepen their self-understanding while developing tools to manage distress, regulate emotions, navigate relationships, and create meaningful change. She utilizes Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, attachment-based and relational approaches, Motivational Interviewing, and principles of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailoring treatment to each client’s individual needs, experiences, and goals.

Ella earned her Master of Social Work from the New York University Silver School of Social Work and her Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science from the University of Southern California. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker in New York and New Jersey.

Ella is especially trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy through the esteemed Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Managing Work Stress Without Burning Out
Managing Work Stress Without Burning Out

You know that moment when you close your laptop for the day... then immediately reopen it because you just remembered “one quick thing”? Three hours later, you're answering emails while eating dinner, your shoulders are near your ears, and you've somehow convinced yourself this is just what being a responsible adult looks like. Welcome to modern work culture. Experiencing work stress is normal. Deadlines, overflowing inboxes, difficult coworkers, changing priorities, and meetings that...

Questions to Ask Before Choosing a Therapist
Questions to Ask Before Choosing a Therapist

Choosing a therapist is an important step toward improving your mental health. Knowing which questions to ask during an initial consultation can help you find the right fit for your needs and therapy goals. Introduction First, congratulations. Whether you're starting therapy for the first time or realizing it's time to find someone who's a better fit, you've already taken one of the hardest steps. Deciding to prioritize your mental health is something to be proud of. Now comes the next step:...

If that friend is you (no judgment), you might find yourself wondering: “Why do I keep choosing the wrong partner?” “Why am I always attracted to people who can't meet my needs?” “Why do I keep ending up in the same relationship with a different face?” The people we date aren't...
