Averey Esposito is a Licensed Master Social Worker based in New York City who works with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional dysregulation, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, grief, and life transitions. Averey’s therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based, with a focus on creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel comfortable showing up as their authentic selves.
She believes therapy is a meaningful space for growth, healing, and self-discovery. Averey works closely with clients to build insight, develop healthy coping strategies, strengthen emotional resilience, and create lasting change. When developmentally appropriate, she also partners with families to support the child or adolescent’s progress both inside and outside of sessions.
Training & Experience
Averey earned her Master of Social Work from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work and her Bachelor of Social Work from Syracuse University. Her clinical training experience is in community mental health, hospital-based programing and academic-based settings. At NYC Health she provided individual and group therapies, at Gouverneur Hospital she conducted trauma, emotional regulation, crisis intervention and CBT-based therapies. Avery’s training focuses on behavioral change, trauma, depression, anxiety, executive functioning as well as academic challenges. Avery has robust experience working with children and adolescents surrounding social-emotional development, trauma, grief, family stressors, self-esteem development, relational problems and crisis interventions. She is apt at working with students with psychoeducational challenges and helping patients, families and their academic institutions find paths to support improvement and success.
Avery’s past experience across the lifespan allows her to support a board range of patient’s needs in a thoughtful, evidence based and strength based approach.
