Caitlin Frankel, LMSW, works with children, adolescents, adults, parents, and families navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, parenting stress, family conflict, and difficulties related to emotional regulation and coping. She is passionate about helping to build resilience, strengthen relationships, and develop practical skills to manage life's challenges with greater confidence and self-understanding.

Caitlin takes a warm, collaborative, and strengths-based approach to therapy. She strives to create a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes. She believes that therapy should be tailored to each individual's unique experiences, needs, and goals, and works closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that foster growth and lasting change.

Caitlin helps clients identify patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and relationships while building effective coping strategies to manage anxiety, stress, interpersonal difficulties, and life transitions. She values the therapeutic relationship as an essential component of the healing process and seeks to create a space where clients feel safe exploring challenges and developing new ways of navigating them.

Her approach integrates evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, play-based interventions, and family-centered approaches. When working with children and families, Caitlin also incorporates principles of Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), an evidence-based parent-focused treatment designed to reduce childhood and adolescent anxiety.

Training & Experience

Caitlin earned her Master of Social Work degree from the New York University Silver School of Social Work. She has received specialized training in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), developed at the Yale Child Study Center, and is committed to utilizing evidence-based approaches that support meaningful and sustainable change.

Throughout her clinical training and professional experience, Caitlin has worked in both school-based and outpatient mental health settings. She has extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, developmental, and relational concerns.

In school-based settings, Caitlin utilized play-based interventions and developmentally appropriate therapeutic techniques to help children strengthen emotional regulation, social-emotional skills, problem-solving abilities, and self-confidence. In outpatient settings, she has provided individual, family, and couples therapy to clients navigating anxiety, relationship concerns, parenting challenges, family conflict, life transitions, and other emotional and interpersonal difficulties.

Caitlin is dedicated to providing individualized, compassionate, and evidence-based care. She works collaboratively with clients to deepen self-understanding, build resilience, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change that extends beyond the therapy room.
