​Dr. Yellen has extensive experience working with patients with Borderline Personality Disorder and those struggling with intense emotional difficulties. She specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), a therapeutic approach designed to help individuals manage emotional distress, self-harm, and suicidal behavior. Dr. Yellen provides a structured framework through DBT that helps patients achieve balance, accept themselves, and make meaningful changes in their lives. Additionally, she offers telephone coaching, allowing patients to reach out for extra support between sessions, ensuring continuous guidance and care.

Education & Training

Dr. Yellen earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from La Salle University. She has extensive training in evidence-based treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-Based Practices. Her clinical training was completed at prestigious institutions in Philadelphia and New York City, including the University of Pennsylvania Outpatient Psychiatry, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital’s Outpatient Clinic, La Salle University Community Psychological Services, and the Center for Anxiety. This diverse experience has enabled Dr. Yellen to refine her skills in working with a broad spectrum of patients, including children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly, from various backgrounds and with a range of clinical presentations.
