Dr. Cierra Clark is a postdoctoral psychology fellow providing tailored, evidence-based treatment to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), person-centered therapy, existential therapy, trauma-informed therapies, and insight-oriented approaches, including psychodynamic therapy, Dr. Clark works with clients across the lifespan experiencing anxiety disorders, mood disorders, eating disorders, relational concerns, trauma, PTSD, and other complex psychological concerns.

Her approach is collaborative and individualized, helping clients enhance self-understanding, identify patterns or areas of difficulty, build upon their existing strengths, and develop concrete coping and problem-solving skills. Dr. Clark works collaboratively with patients and, when appropriate, other members of their treatment team to provide comprehensive and supportive care. She creates a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, validated, and empowered to work toward their personal goals.

Dr. Clark recognizes that change can be scary—and so can the process of therapy. She incorporates warmth and humor into her clinical work to help clients feel comfortable and at ease throughout the therapeutic process. Her experience providing therapy and conducting psychological and neuropsychological evaluations with patients across the lifespan affords her a unique and focused perspective when helping clients better understand themselves, their needs, and their goals.

In therapy, Dr. Clark balances deeper exploration and insight with practical strategies and tools that clients can use in their daily lives. She recognizes that each person enters therapy with different experiences, strengths, relationships, and goals and tailors treatment accordingly. Whether clients are navigating the effects of trauma, anxiety, relationship difficulties, challenges with emotional regulation, eating concerns, or major life stressors, Dr. Clark strives to help them better understand themselves while developing meaningful and sustainable ways of moving forward.

Overthinking Everything? Here’s Why
Overthinking Everything? Here’s Why

Introduction You are lying in bed after a long day, ready to fall asleep. It’s finally quiet. Then your brain decides it’s the perfect time to replay that conversation you had this afternoon. Did your coworker seem annoyed? Should you have worded that text differently? Was that attempt at a joke awkward? Before you know it, you’re mentally revisiting a conversation that everyone else has probably forgotten. Then, your thoughts jump to tomorrow’s meeting, then to whether you’re making the...

What Is Childhood Emotional Neglect and How Does It Affect Adults?

Introduction Many people who experienced childhood emotional neglect don't describe their childhood as abusive or traumatic. Instead, they often say things like: "Nothing bad really happened." "My parents provided everything I needed." "I don't know why I struggle so much." It is often defined less by what...
